Author Douglas Murray recounts asking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about “personal culpability” after multiple failings which led to the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas.
“I pushed him on the question of personal culpability for October 7 for the multiple failings that clearly went on, on the Israeli side that allowed such a barbarous attack to get into Israel,” Mr Murray told Sky
News Australia host Rita Panahi.
“He was unwilling to be pushed on that very much.
“He knows that if he says ‘I am sorry’ or ‘I take responsibility’, his political opponents will use it against him immediately.
“He is obviously going to have problems within his Coalition whenever the war winds down.”
