Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says farmers are “up in arms” about renewable energy projects in the bush.
Many people from regional Australia attended a Reckless Renewables rally on Tuesday in Canberra to protest solar and windfarms which have been proposed to be built near their homes.
Mr Canavan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt that people don’t want their land “being destroyed” by massive industrial landscapes.
“That’s why you’ve had this reaction.
“I hope people across Australia wake up to this now.”
