White House Counsel Spokesperson Ian Sams has reacted to the Special Counsel’s investigation into Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents.
Special Counsel Robert Hur has described the US President as a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with poor memory” and said he would bring no charges against him after his investigation into Biden’s classified documents scandal.
Biden held a national address to the nation in the Diplomatic Reception Room on Thursday (local time), rejecting criticism of his failing memory.
“It was a long, intensive, sort of meandering investigation that came to the conclusion that in February of last year … that this wasn’t intentional,” Mr Sams said at a press conference on Friday (local time).
“He reached the inevitable conclusion because it was the truth.”
