Labor’s aged care decision to take housing into consideration could ‘move votes’

Labor’s plans for aged care changes indicating Australia’s homes may be taken into account on your eligibility could “move votes”, Sky News host Paul Murray says.

“The family home, over half a million, one million, one and a half, two, two and a half million dollars,” Mr Murray said.

“Could end up becoming a major picture in how you pay for aged care into the future … will move votes.

“Every single person at some point is going to end up in aged care.

“Your house becoming an increasing part in how that’s paid for, that could move votes.”
